Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Licensing
The Alcohol Beverage Control Office (258-3796) issues new licenses to business's who wish to sell alcoholic beverages. License renewals are also issued through this office. The Alcohol Beverage Control office is also responsible for investigating alcoholic beverage complaints. A majority of these complaints involve the sale and use of alcoholic beverages by minors.

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday;
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday.

The ABC Unit also coordinates with other agencies in conducting additional programs such as "Cops in Shops". The Division of Police with the assistance of licensees, sponsor seminars for licensees in Fayette County. These seminars cover issues related to sale to and use by minors and other ABC offenses.
Alcohol Beverage Control violations are citable offenses. In addition to criminal sanctions these violations are placed on the Administrative docket.
- Pre-hearings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
The disposition of these violations can range from fines to suspension or revocation of the license.
