Bureau of Investigation

The Bureau of Investigation is commanded by Assistant Chief Ken Hall. The Bureau is tasked with the follow-up investigation of reported crime. The Bureau's goals lie in the protection of persons, the apprehension of criminals, the recovery of property and the prevention of crime.

All offices of the Bureau of Investigation are located at the Division of Police main Headquarters at 150 East Main Street. When unsure of the extension you require, the main Investigation number (859) 258-3700 may be called. Detectives are working continuously day and night, 7 days a week. However, the business office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In an emergency your case detective or an on-call detective can be reached anytime through the Communications Unit by calling 911 or (859) 258-3600.
