Police Recruit Graduation

The Graduation Ceremony represents the successful completion of the Basic Training Academy and is a memorable occasion for all Division officers. The Graduation Ceremony is held at the Government Center Ballroom, 200 East Main Street.

Recruit Officers are encouraged to bring their families to this event. The graduation program consists of:

• Processional by the Class
• Presentation of Colors by the Division Honor Guard
• Welcome by the Police Chaplain
• Introduction and Address by the Chief of Police
• Remarks by Special Guests
• Presentation of Certificates and Awards
• Closing and Benediction
• Recessional

Special awards are presented at this occasion. They consist of:

• The Chief Anthany Beatty Exemplary Achievement Award
• E.C. Hale Scholastic Award
• Firearms Proficiency Award
• Julian Hutchinson Outstanding Speaker Award
• Most Improved Speaker Award
• 110% Award
• Police Training Fitness Award

Following the Ceremony, everyone is invited to a reception and tour at Division of Police Headquarters, 150 East Main Street.
