Policemen's and Firefighter's Retirement Fund

Sworn employees contribute to the Policemen's and Firefighter's Retirement Fund and participation is mandatory. Sworn employees contribute 11% and the Urban County Government contributes 20% of the employee's gross salary to the P&FRF, beginning with the date of employment. Sworn employees do not pay Social Security, except for the Medicare portion (1.4%).
